India: Coal imports fall marginally m-o-m to 20 mnt in Oct’22

India’s coal imports fell marginally by 2% m-o-m to 19.99 mnt in Oct’22, as per CoalMint vessel line up data. Shipments of thermal coal fell by 9% m-o-m at 12.03 mnt amid elevated prices whereas coking coal imports stood at 4.95 mnt in the month, up by 4% m-o-m. On a y-o-y basis, import volumes increased by 16% compared to Oct’21.
