India: CIL’s coking coal production up 21% in Aug’22

Coal India’s coking coal production was recorded at 3.70 mnt in Aug’22, up by 21% y-o-y. Bharat Coking Coal contributed 2.48 mnt which is two-third of the CIL’s total output, up 18% y-o-y while Central Coalfields produced 1.39 mnt, higher by 30% y-o-y. CIL’s total coking coal production in FY23 till August increased by 29% y-o-y to 19 mnt.
