Coal India Ltd. (CIL) has initiated a fresh round of coal auctions under the Shakti scheme for private power producers that do not have power purchase agreements (PPAs). For the latest round, the miner has offered a total of 6.15 mnt of coal for sales for the Apr-Jun’22 quarter, which will take place in a nine-day-long auction process starting 6 April.
