State-run miner Coal India Ltd. (CIL) has awarded work order for five coal projects to be developed under the mine developer and operator (MDO) model. The list contains the Siarmal mine with rated capacity of 50 mnt/year. In all, the company has identified 15 projects with a combined capacity of 170.58 mnt/year for development under MDO, the remaining 10 are under different stages of the tender process.
