State-run miner Coal India Ltd (CIL) has crossed 100 mnt of coal production in the ongoing fiscal (FY’23). As on 27 May’22, the company’s production was recorded at 100.95 mnt, up 29% y-o-y. The production volume has been curtailed in view of excess stock availability. However, the average production in May, registered at 1.76 mnt, remains higher than the year-ago levels. CIL’s production target in this fiscal is 700 mnt.
