India: Chrome ore imports slump 77% m-o-m in Aug’22

India’s chrome ore imports dropped sharply by 77% m-o-m to 6,341 t in Aug’22 against 28,002 t in Jul’22, as per customs data.
South Africa was the leading exporter at 6,035 t followed by Mozambique at 216 t.
In Jan-Aug’22, cumulative import volumes rose by 8% to 129,907 t compared to the same period last year.
