India: Chrome ore imports rise nearly 80% m-o-m in Jul’22

India’s chrome ore imports rose by 79% m-o-m to 28,000 t amid low inventory and decrease in prices. Majority of the material was imported from South Africa (27,870 t) in the month under review. In Jan-Jul’22, total imports stood at 0.12 mnt, up by 11% y-o-y as against 0.11 mnt in the corresponding period last year.
