Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has directed the power trading exchanges to continue capping electricity prices at INR 12/unit across entire market segments till 30 Sep’22. These segments include the day ahead market, real-time-market, intra-day, day ahead contingency and term ahead market. The provision was implemented in order to curtail price volatility till 30 Jun, which has now been extended for three more months.
