India: Cement production rises 10% y-o-y in Sep’26

India’s cement production rose by 9.8% y-o-y to 39.2 mnt in September 2026 from 35.7 mnt a year earlier, supported by capacity ramp-ups at recently expanded plants and sustained construction and infrastructure activity. However, output declined m-o-m from 39.43 mnt in August, partly due to scheduled maintenance shutdowns at some cement mills.
