India: Cement production rises 10% y-o-y in Jun’26

India’s cement production increased 9.8% y-o-y to 44.9 mnt in June 2026, according to the Index of Eight Core Industries released by the Office of the Economic Adviser. M-o-m, production rose 4.6% from 42.9 mnt in May, as cement manufacturers sustained healthy output ahead of the peak monsoon period. Market sentiment remained positive, supported by steady infrastructure execution, resilient housing activity, and improved dispatches, enabling producers to maintain healthy capacity utilisation despite seasonal demand moderation in some regions.
