SAIL-BSP conducted an auction for 10,700 t (60 kg and 52 kg) of full-length commercial rails on 8 Dec’22 from Bhilai-Chhattisgarh. Buyers showed active response as compared to previous auction and booked 5,500 t (60 kg) of rail at INR 42,000/t exw. Meanwhile, 700 t of rail (52 kg) got unsold, bid prices remained same as compared to the last auction in which 3000 t of (60 kg) same material was booked at INR 42,000/t exw.
