India: Bulk scrap import shipments fall by 6% in Aug

India’s bulk scrap imports fell by 6% m-o-m in Aug’20, as per vessel line-up provisional data maintained with SteelMint. The country has imported around 31,500 t of scrap in Aug as compared to 33,600 t imported in Jul’20. High global prices and dull finished steel market sentiments, during the lockdown, limited bulk imported scrap bookings.
