- India’s bulk ferrous scrap imports hit an all-time high level at 4,62,561 t in Dec’22. The volumes were higher by 2% compared to 4,54,078 t in Nov’22.
- Lower bulk prices compared to those of containers, the absence of Turkiye in the global market, and domestic scrap shortage kept buyers active in the imported market.
- Major exporters were the US and the UK.
