After detailed technical deliberations last week, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is now ready to launch steel billet (IS:2830) futures contracts for trading on the exchange as per SEBI guidelines, sources told SteelMint. BSE had teamed up with the Steel Users Federation of India (SUFI) last year for the launch of the contract to facilitate risk-hedging and price discovery. The NCDEX has launched mild long steel contracts in Jan’21 at a time of economic buoyancy and growth in construction and infrastructure.
