About 4,000 t of induction furnace (IF) grade billet export deals were reported from Durgapur yesterday at $550-557/t, exw, equivalent to $580/t, CPT Nepal. Buying interest improved inline with constant fall in prices, following a decline in offers by $5-10/t, d-o-d, on 22 Jun. Meanwhile, fresh offers were heard floated today at around $556-558/t, exw Durgapur, and a few small parcels have been reportedly sold, trader sources informed. As per SteelMint assessment, offers for BF grade steel billet stay firm at around $640-645/t, CPT Nepal (via rake delivery).
