Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 8,500 t (steel grade) pig iron from its Rourkela Steel Plant, Odisha. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 35,550/t exw. In the previous auction from RSP conducted on 25 Feb ’21 for 4,800 t, the entire quantity was booked at a weighted average price of INR 34,900/t exw.
