Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted an auction from its Central India based Bhilai Steel Plant for defective steel products on 20 Feb ’21.The auction fetched a better response on improved buying interest, sources said.
Bid prices for bloom also moved up by INR 3,400/t against the previous auction conducted on 12 Feb’21.
A total quantity of 13,639 t of defective steel was put up for auction, in which 98.89% material was sold out.
SteelMint’s billet index stood at INR 37,500/t exw Raipur on 20 Feb’21, up by INR 3,050 w-o-w.
