SAIL held an auction for 4,000 t of basic grade pig iron on 9 Jul’21 from its Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha. Buyers booked the entire quantity at INR 36,200/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 200/t ($2.7) compared to the previous auction on 1 Jul, which was concluded at a weighted average price of INR 36,000/t exw. In another auction from Durgapur Steel Plant, buyers booked the entire quantity of 1,000 t at INR 35,600/t exw, down by INR 3,150/t compare to the last auction conducted on 4 June.
