In an iron ore e-auction conducted by private miners in Karnataka on 24 Jun’21, 314,000 t of iron ore was booked out of the offered quantity of 425,000 t, as per reports. Key highlights of the auction:
- West Bengal-based Orissa Metaliks was the largest buyer at 72,000 t of fines (Fe 64.5-65%) at INR 6,032-6,930/t (basic).
- Goa-based pellet maker Chowgule and Company Pvt Ltd booked 20,000 t of fines (Fe 65%) at INR 6,920-6,940/t (basic).
