Govt owned steel mill – SAIL conducted an auction for 2,000 t basic grade pig iron today from IISCO, Burnpur. Entire material was booked at INR 31,350/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. Bids fell by INR 1,800/t as compared to the previous auction conducted on 20 Jan. Another auction from SAIL-Bokaro conducted today for 8,550 t pig iron, closed with no bids.
