PSU steel major SAIL held an auction from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) for 12,650 t pig iron on 12 May ’21. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 39,550/t exw, recording a rise of INR 450/t compared to the previous auction held by BSP. The last auction conducted on 3rd May for 10,650 t was concluded at a weighted average price of INR 39,100/t exw. Another pig iron auction conducted from BSL-Bokaro for one rake (2,850 t) was booked at INR 39,150/t exw.
