Leading state-owned long steel producer, Vizag Steel, conducted an auction for 2,300 t of basic grade pig iron on 9 Oct’21. As per sources, the entire quantity was booked at INR 45,050/t exw. As per SteelMint reports, the steelmaker’s previous pig iron auction conducted on 5 Oct for around 2,000 t of material was concluded at INR 43,500/t exw.
