Steel major, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), conducted an auction for 4,200 t (60 kg and 52 kg, full length) of commercial rails on 11 Mar’24 from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked around 4,000 t of 60 kg rail at an average price of INR 41,700/t exw, while 200 t of 52 kg rail booked at INR 70,500/t exw.
