Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for around 1,000 t (0-3 & 3-10mm) silico manganese on 14 Dec ’20 from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant, Maharashtra. Nearly 50% of the offered quantity was booked. The material (0-3mm) was booked at INR 43,900/t and (3-10mm) at INR 53,800/t exw. In the previous auction conducted on 27 Nov ’20 for 800 t silico manganese, the weighted average price was at INR 39,800/t (for 0-3 mm) & INR 50,300/t (for 3-10mm), exw respectively.
