SAIL held an auction for 8,550 t (2,850 t x 3 rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 06 Jan ’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. Out of total quantity, buyers booked only 2,850 t (one rake) at INR 35,300/t (ex-works). Bids increased by INR 1,000/t ($13) against the previous auction on 30 Dec’20. In another SAIL auction today, 700 t pig iron was booked at INR 35,700/t (ex-works) from Durgapur Steel Plant.
