India: Bids fall by up to INR 700/t at SAIL’s recent pig iron auctions

SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant held an auction for 2,000 t of steel grade pig iron on 28 Oct’22. The entire quantity was booked at an average price of INR 42,200/t exw.
At another auction from SAIL-Durgapur Steel Plant, out of 2,000 t, 1,100 t was booked at an average price of INR 42,400/t exw.
Bids fell by INR 500 and INR 700/t respectively compared to the previous auctions from these plants.
