Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) held an auction for 4,000 t of steel grade pig iron on 13 May’22 from Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 52,500/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. At the company’s previous auction on 29 Apr, 3,500 t of similar grade material had been booked at INR 57,300/t exw.
