Govt owned steelmaker- SAIL Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction from its Barsua (Odisha) mines for 104,000 iron ore fines (Fe 60.8%). The base price was fixed at INR 3,500/t (loaded into rakes and excluding royalty). The miner received bids for 77% (i.e 80,000 t) of material at base price. Notably, the bids dropped by around INR 300-310/t against last auction conducted on 15th Dec’20.
