Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), conducted an auction for 3,300 t (60 kg and 52 kg, full length) of commercial rails on 24 Jul’24 from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked around 3,000 t of 60 kg rail at an average price of INR 40,800/t (INR 40,600-42,200/t) exw, bids fell by INR 3,620/t from previous auction held on 11 July. Meanwhile, 100 t of 52 kg rails out of 300 t were booked at INR 70,500/t exw.
