At the Vedanta-FACOR’s ferro chrome auction today, the bigger lot of 10-150 mm achieved an H1 price of INR 103,300/t exw, close to the base price of INR 103,200/t. There was also a significant drop of INR 3,300/t from the 29 Jul’24 auction, likely due to persistent weak demand, limited acceptance, and the stainless steel sector’s subdued performance.
