Steel major SAIL’s pig iron auction for 2,400 t (basic grade) material from ISP, Burnpur on 16 Dec’20 was booked at INR 33,000 /t (ex-works). Bids increased by INR 850/t ($11) compared to the previous auction on 10 Dec’20. SAIL pig iron auctions are garnering active response in all plants. Steel grade pig iron prices are assessed by SteelMint at INR 34,300/t (DAP Durgapur). In another auction conducted today, 8,550 t pig iron has been booked at INR 33,000/t exw Bokaro.
