Steel major SAIL held an auction for 8,000 t (steel grade) pig iron from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) on 30 Dec’20. The material was booked at INR 35,300/t (ex-works). Bids rose by INR 2,200/t ($30) against the previous auction on 18 Dec’20. In a separate auction today, 8,550 t (2,850 t x 3 rakes) pig iron was booked at INR 34,300/t (ex-works) from the company’s Bokaro Steel Plant.
