SAIL-BSP held an auction for 2,050 t of cast iron scrap on 22 Oct’21. Buyers booked 1,800 t of material (with recovery rate of above 90%) at INR 39,100/t. However, BSP’s management did not approve the auction on expectation of higher prices. One lot of 250 t (recovery rate 70-80%) was also booked at INR 39,150/t, which was approved.
