NMDC’s steel plant in Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh, conducted an auction for 10,000 t of steel-grade pig iron (for road transport) on 5 May’25. Of the total offered quantity, 1,500 t were booked at the base price of INR 33,000/t. This is INR 1,200/t lower than the bid prices at the previous auction on 23 Apr’25, where, out of the 15,000 t on offer, 2,500 t were booked at the base price of INR 34,200/t (for road transport).
