Indian domestic ferrous scrap offers moved up by up
to Rs 100-200/MT on improved demand after government imposed 2.5% customs duty
on imports of scrap, making it expensive by Rs 500-700/t.
Bhavnagar: HMS scrap from ship
breaking traded slightly higher at Rs 22,700-800/MT i.e. up by Rs 100-200/MT
from previous trade. Offers for rolling plates Plate cutting scrap have also
moved up by up to Rs 100-200/MT. Scrap of 4 ANI plate traded at Rs 24,000/MT, 6
ANI at Rs 25,000/MT and 12 ANI at Rs 26,200/MT.
HMS (80:20) scrap offers at Mumbai stands
at Rs 21,700/t (Basic prices), Chennai at Rs 23,000/t (Basic Prices) and
Kolkata at Rs 22,500- 23,000/t (Basic Prices).
