India: Barbil pellet prices edge up on active transactions of around 100,000 t

Pellet prices in Barbil have inched up amid active trade and firming up of iron ore prices.

• SteelMint’s current assessment for Barbil iron ore pellet (Fe 63%) stands at INR 8,000/t loaded on to wagon, up INR 100/t compared to the last assessment of INR 7,900/t on 9 Dec’22.
• Active sales of 100,000-150,000 t of pellets were recorded at INR 8,000-8,100/t, loaded to wagons, earlier this week.
