India: Barbil pellet offers inch down by INR 1,500/t in recent deal

Barbil-based pellet producers have decreased offers tracking a decline in export realisations and declining domestic pellet offers in other regions, SteelMint learnt from sources.

• Steelmint’s current assessment for Barbil iron ore pellet (Fe 63%) stands at INR 12,000/t loaded on to wagon, down INR 1,500/t compared to the last assessment of INR 13,500/t on 20 Aug’21.
• Active sales of 10,000 t of pellets were recorded at INR 11,500-12,000/t.
• Current offers were heard in the range of INR 12,000-12,500/t.
