Auto component producers in western India conducted multiple auctions for mild steel and stainless steel melting scrap this week. A Bhiwandi, Rajasthan-based producer conducted an auction for around 150 t of stainless steel solid scrap on 22 June which received bids at around INR 49,200/t exw. About 40 t auto heavy melting scrap auctioned by the same producer received bids at INR 44,200/t exw.
