India: Australian 4600 NAR coal booked at INR 10,500/t at Krishnapatnam

In a confirmed deal, 10,000 t of Australian 4600 kcal/kg NAR grade coal with 45% fixed carbon was booked at INR 10,500/t at Krishnapatnam Port. Several sponge manufacturers in the southern belt have been blending Australian coal from Carmichael mine with Russian coal. The same is cheaper by 10-15% against South African 4800NAR and Russian 6100NAR grade coal, informed participants.
