Arya Iron & Steel, one of the largest merchant Pellet manufacturers in the eastern region with an annual capacity of 1.2 MnT, has cut Pellet prices by INR 200/MT (USD 3/MT). Current offers are assessed at INR 5,300/MT, as per loaded to wagons at Barbil railway siding (Odisha).
The Pellet maker has reduced prices on the backdrop of weak demand and declining Sponge iron prices in the Indian market. Other manufacturers may also consider to cut their prices looking at subdued demand and cheaper import of Iron ore lump from South Africa.
Trade-wise:
1. Jharsuguda based manufacturer offered Fe 63% Pellet at INR 5,800/MT
2. Pellet prices in Raipur were assessed at INT 6,100-6,200/MT
3. Durgapur based manufacturer offered the material in the range of INR 5,900-6,000/MT
4. Fe 62% Pellet prices in Kandla were assessed at INR 5,300/MT
5. Karnataka based manufacturers offered Fe 62% Pellet at INR 6,450/MT
