SAIL conducted an auction for 39,920 t of iron ore tailings from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 5 May in which 19,980 t (Fe 60.22%) were booked at INR 4,100/t against the base price of INR 3,840/t, while 19,940 t (Fe 62.31%) were booked at INR 4,100/t against the base price of INR 4,000/t. Prices were ex-mines, inclusive of royalty, DMF, NMET and extra premium.
