Around 4,000 t of ferro chrome was traded in Odisha’s Jajpur last week, as per SteelMint assessment. Deals for high-carbon ferro chrome (Cr 60%) was concluded at INR 121,000-124,000/t on ex-works basis. Rising chrome ore prices coupled with an increase in production costs led to an increase in ferro chrome prices, despite the reluctance of buyers to book at higher price levels, sources informed.
