India: Around 200,000 t of iron ore booked in KSMCL’s auction from Karnataka

KSMCL held an auction for 196,000 t of iron ore on 15 Nov’24 from Bellary, Karnataka

• 52,000 t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 62.36-65.06%) were booked at INR 5,196-5,395/t against base price of INR 4,875-5,086/t.
• 144,000 t fines (Fe 62.22-63.31%) sold at INR 4,269-4,484/t against base price of INR 4,269-4,344/t.

Prices were ex-mines, excluding royalty, DMF, and NMET. Bids for lumps, fines rose by INR 520/t and INR 140/t, respectively.
