India: Around 100-150 plants announce shutdown over increased power tariff in Raipur

As per Chhattisgarh Mini Steel Plant Association, a meeting was held on Monday in Raipur resulting in the decision to shut down operations from midnight 29 July, 24. This shutdown is a protest against the increased power tariff rates imposed by the CSPDCL. As per sources, this massive shutdown is expected to impact daily production of around 3,000-4,000 t/day in semi-finished steel.
