India: Anti-dumping duty on China-origin met coke expires in end-Nov’21

The anti-dumping duty (ADD) of $25.20/t on metallurgical coke imports from China and $16.29/t from Australia, in effect since 2016, has expired in late-Nov’21. High-level sources close to the government informed SteelMint that imports henceforth would be exempt from ADD in the absence of any sunset review. Notably, China, historically a major met coke exporter, has only recently resumed exports after a gap of about a year.
