India: Ambuja Cements reports 7% y-o-y drop in cement sales in Q1FY’27

Ambuja Cements reported cement sales volume of 17.1 mnt in Q1FY’27, down 7% y-o-y from 18.4 mnt in Q1FY’26. Revenue declined 8% y-o-y to INR 9,500 crore. The company’s EBITDA per tonne rose 27% q-o-q to INR 931 on cost optimisation. Trade sales increased to 78%, premium products to 34%, while the company also raised its green power share to 34%, supporting improved operational efficiency and long-term cost competitiveness.
