Adani-owned Ambuja Cements has concluded acquisition of the Tuticorin grinding unit, thereby boosting its South Indian market presence. The addition of 1.5 mnt/year elevates the company’s total capacity to 78.9 mnt. This strategic move strengthens Ambuja’s coastal operations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, capitalising on limestone access and synergies with the Sanghipuram plant. Adani’s South India sales currently constitute 10% of its total volumes.
