India: AM/NS reports 3% rise in crude steel output in Q3CY’21

Integrated steelmaker ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) India has recorded crude steel production at 1.89 mn t in Q3CY’21, up 3% q-o-q, as the mill shifted its focus overseas amidst dull domestic demand following the second wave of Covid-19.

• On a y-o-y basis, production rose by 7% against 1.77 mn t in Q3CY’20
• During the first nine months of CY’21, production stood at 5.54 mn t.
