Aluminium scrap prices rose by up to INR 2,000/t on improved buying as well as supportive exchange prices. Market participants believe that exchange prices may reach $3,400/t in the near term amid the decline in global aluminium production along with low inventory levels at registered warehouses. Prices for alumininum tense scrap are assessed at INR 167,000/t exw Delhi, excluding GST.
