Domestic aluminium scrap prices were firm today as LME three-month futures remained strong at $2,279/t at the time of reporting. Tense prices stood at INR 161,000/t ($1,950/t), extrusion at INR 176,000/t ($2,132/t) and utensils at INR 170,000/t ($2,060/t), all exy. Amid moderate transactions market participants are awaiting the upcoming price revision by a major auto producer, which may impact near-term price trends.
